Pearls for Good
Roseate is committed to protecting the environment and promoting healthier communities through responsible pearl farming. We also make charitable donations part of our business plan, with a focus on giving to organizations that protect marine ecosystems and provide clean water to people worldwide.

Reducing Climate Change
Not only are clean and healthy oceans necessary for the creation of pearls, but they also help limit climate change by absorbing about 25% of global carbon dioxide emissions and capturing 90% of the excess heat generated by these emissions.
By supporting sustainable pearl farming, Roseate has a role to play in this symbiotic relationship.

Better Water Quality
Sustainable pearl farming leads to larger fish populations and better water quality, improving the health of neighboring coral reefs, mangrove forests, and other marine ecosystems that play a vital role in combating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide emissions and the heat generated by them.

Wands That Do Magic
Roseate Wands, our collection of meaningful pendants, are symbols that connect you to Earth and oceans, humanity, and your inner strength.
They also have the power to give back — we give 20% of the purchase of our Wands to the Billion Oyster Project, as explained below.

Billion Oyster Project
New York Harbor was once the home to half the world’s oysters. The Billion Oyster Project was established in New York City in 2014 to restore a billion oysters to the area by 2035. Supported by your purchase of the Wand Collection.

-
Big Apple, Oyster Capital
Until the late 1800s, oysters were so plentiful they were sold on street corners. During a visit to New York in the 1790s, the French politician Moreau de St. Mery noted that “Americans have a passion for oysters, which they eat at all hours, even in the streets.”
-
End of an Oyster Era
Overfishing, along with deadly outbreaks of typhoid and cholera, forced the closure of the local oyster industry in 1927. You can be sure that any bivalves you order at NYC restaurants today are not locally farmed!
-
Restoring Reefs
As of 2022, Billion Oyster Project had restored more than 100 million oysters to New York Harbor, where they form reefs that increase the waterway’s biodiversity and help protect the city from storm surges.
-
A Trusted Nonprofit

Collecting Shells
Our Shells are crafted from mother-of-pearl — the crystalized mineral compound that lines shells (and the same material that comprises pearls).
We donate 20% of every purchase from the collection to Conservation International, as explained below.

Conservation International
Founded in 1987, Conservation International protects more than 2.3 million miles of land and sea, with a focus on the connections between human wellbeing and natural ecosystems. Supported by your purchase of the Shell Collection.

-
Global Reach, Local Impact
Conservation International has offices in more than 24 countries and a worldwide network of thousands of partners, protecting more than 2.3 million miles of land and sea.
-
Oceans in Peril
Climate change is causing massive sea-level rise and warming water, which has many of the world’s seas on track to be lifeless by the end of the century. This has devastating implications for marine life, the climate, and the food security of billions of people.
-
A Sea Change
By 2030, Conservation International aim to conserve 30% of the global ocean and ensure at least 75% of seafood is sustainably and ethically sourced.
-
Trusted and Transparent
Conservation International holds top ratings—4 stars from Charity Navigator and an A from Charity Watch.

Drop by Drop
Our glistening WaterDrops are a symbol of life and renewal. And, because we donate 20% of every purchase to Water.org, they also support access to safe water — one of the most powerful ways to promote education, economic potential, and improved health for people in need.

This global nonprofit organization gives people living in poverty access to the safe water and sanitation they need to survive and thrive. Supported by your purchase of the WaterDrop Collection.
